To make Yash Dhull a cricketer, his father spent his entire earnings on him

Story of India’s new Under-19 captain: To make Yash Dhull a cricketer, his father spent his entire earnings on him, The house was run by grandfather’s pension

Yash Dhull has been appointed as the captain of the Indian team for the Under-19 Cricket Asia Cup to be held in UAE. Yash, a resident of Janakpuri, Delhi, said in a special conversation his father Vijay Kumar’s dream was to play cricket for the country, but due to the financial problems of the family, he had to leave cricket and work. Now they see their dreams in me. He also changed jobs so that my practice was not affected.

Dhull told that Papa works in a cosmetic company. He always had to travel. They could not give time. Couldn’t pay attention to my practice. So he changed jobs. During that time it affected the financial condition of the house. Papa cut many expenses, but did not let it affect me and Didi. During that time, the expenses of our house were met by the pension of the grandfather. My grandfather is retired from the army.

Grandfather’s contribution too
Yash told that Papa used to work, so my grandfather (Jagat Singh Dhull) used to take me to cricket training and matches. From the age of 6, he started taking me to Bal Bhavan and Airliner Cricket Academy. My grandfather used to sit outside the ground and wait for me till I was training. He used to take me to the match many times. There he used to sit and watch the match. Many times when I performed poorly, he used to encourage me. Always used to say that if you have played poorly today, what happened, tomorrow you will play well.

mother recognized my talent
I used to play cricket like other kids. He always used to play with bat and ball at home too. Then mother, seeing my interest in cricket, asked my father to enroll in the academy. Seeing my interest in cricket, Papa used to make me practice batting on the roof of the house.
