THALA ISN’T DONE YET!” – MS Dhoni Breaks Silence on IPL 2027
New Delhi: THALA ISN’T DONE YET!” – MS Dhoni Breaks Silence on IPL 2027, Says Will Assess Fitness Before December, MS Dhoni is once again ruling the internet. The legendary Chennai Super Kings captain is trending all over X (formerly Twitter) after his latest statement about his IPL future sparked a wave of emotion among fans.
Speaking at a recent interaction, Dhoni said, “I’ll assess my fitness before December to decide if I can play one more season. If needed, we’ll get this old vintage vehicle running smoothly again.” That one line was enough. Within minutes, “MS Dhoni” started trending at No. 1 on X in India, with lakhs of posts, memes, and emotional messages pouring in from fans across the world. The phrase “old vintage vehicle” is classic Dhoni – humble, witty, and self-deprecating. At 44, Dhoni knows his body is not the same as it was 15 years ago, but his desire to give it one more shot for his fans is what makes him Thala.
Fans couldn’t control their emotions after hearing this. One fan wrote on X, “THALA ISN’T DONE YET! 🥹💛🦁 MS Dhoni is aiming for a STRONG comeback in IPL 2027 with Chennai Super Kings! 🤞🔥 ONE MORE SEASON. ONE MORE ROAR. ONE MORE CHAPTER IN YELLOW! 💛😭” Fans X Post Links
Another fan posted, Can’t wait for The Thala return in IPL 2027 & Good news for Chennai Super Kings. “The vintage vehicle still has the best engine in the world. We are waiting, Thala.” X Post Links
The reaction was instant and massive. From Didi Star X Links to fan pages of CSK, everyone joined the trend. #MSDhoni, #Thala, #OneMoreSeason, #IPL2027 were all trending together. The sentiment is clear – fans want just one more season of Dhoni in Yellow.
Dhoni’s statement is very important because there has been a lot of speculation about his retirement after IPL 2025 and IPL 2026. He has been battling a knee issue for the last two seasons and has limited himself to batting for just a few balls, but his wicketkeeping, captaincy brain, and presence behind the stumps is still unmatched. For CSK fans, Dhoni is not just a player, he is an emotion. Every time he walks out to bat at Chepauk, the noise is deafening. The sea of yellow in the stadium chants only one name – Dhoni, Dhoni.
If Dhoni decides to play IPL 2027, it would be his 20th season of the IPL – a historic milestone that no other player has achieved with one franchise. It would also give CSK a huge boost, as the team is currently in a transition phase, grooming young players under his mentorship.
Cricket experts believe that Dhoni assessing his fitness till December is a smart move. It gives him 5-6 months to work on his knee, strength, and endurance. Knowing Dhoni’s discipline and fitness regime, if he says he will get the vintage vehicle running, he will do it.
As of now, CSK management has not made any official comment, but sources close to the team say they will always keep the door open for Dhoni, no matter what. One thing is certain – if this is indeed the last chapter, fans want it to be memorable. The yellow army is already dreaming – One More Season, One More Roar, One More Trophy in Yellow. Will December bring good news for Dhoni fans? Only time will tell, but till then, Thala continues to rule hearts, and the internet.
