Greece’s Lazaros Stefanidis and his son Leontios will enter the shot put, Leontios trained at the father’s academy

Lazaros Stefanidis, 64, from Greece and his son Leontios will enter athletics. Both are shot put players. When Stefanidis decided to form an athletics club, he wanted to give people with disabilities more opportunities to practice the sport and become a para-athlete like him. His son will be the first star of the club. Now both will enter the Olympics together. 64-year-old Lazarus said, ‘This is the best story of the game. I consider myself a winner from now on.’ Leontios, 22, will participate in the Shot Put F20 event on 31 August.
